Facts about discrimination of sex offenders

Did you know that according the the United States Department of Justice indicated that recidivism rates among sex offenders was 5.3 percent (see Wikipedia article). In contrast of 68 percent of released non-sex offenders were rearrested for crimes.

As a convicted sex offender once you are out of prison and off paper your punishment is still not over. Your debt to society  is simply never paid! You have to register and be discriminated agent for the rest of your life. This is not only unfair… But also unjust and unconstitutional!

Pundits and proponents of sex offender laws often state that…. “There’s no cure” for sex offenders.   But like David Bell said, there is no cure for alcoholics either. Alcoholics are still alcoholics after treatment. Meth addicts are still drug addicts after treatment. Yet none of these categories/classifications of individuals have to be registered publicly.  This registration is open to vigilante justice and the extremely discriminating public.
